Just heard the cover!
I remember listening to The B-52s as a kid and dancing on the coffee table to "Rock Lobster" as well as Love and Rockets and being all into "So Alive" and "No New Tale To Tell" and I just heard your tribute like 3 songs back and when it first began I thought it was the original song until I heard the background music start up and I was like ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? I said it out loud and my kids were like "HUH?" It was SOOOOOO GOOD! And, I love the Blaqk Audio twist only you could guys put on the music! It was A-freaking-MAZING! I love how your minds work. You continue to make me love music and give me a glimmer of hope that not all music of the present and future will be total crap! Plus, it's always great to have a GOOD cover of GOOD older music (Me First and the Gimme Gimmes are another example)! I still love AFI too, though. I saw you guys in St. Louis back in like 2004 right after I was first familiarized with the music. And, I have a really good friendship and memories of that tied to your music. THANK YOU! I listen to you Blaqk Audio/AFI, among other great artists, around my 10-yr-old twin boys and they enjoy the music too. So just know there will be more generations to appreciate your genius! I will have to say that I kind of miss the "darker" style (makeup, darker hair, tight pants ... the look I used to have sexy dreams about, LOL!) but I can really appreciate at 29 that you gotta grow up, reinvent and realize sometime. I don't care what you wear, I love what you do and you both continue to stay hot! You two have us all addicted like "Blaqkheads" (EW! Not blackheads, I was thinking more like crackheads) and WE NEED ANOTHER DOSE!!! Oh, and tell Jeffree he is one hot biiieach and I want him to write me a book about his makeup artistry! Wow...
I can't even tell you how much I love your music. I started out as an AFI fan but one day I came across Blaqk Audio, and was just so amazed. I told like all of my friends about it. I really hope to hear more from you guys. Seriously Davey and Jade, you guys are just amazing!
